Recent research revealed that preservatives in many skin care systems act as invasive, "pro-aging" elements. Did you realize that the cosmetic industry uses some 10,000 chemicals as ingredients in skin care products? The National Institute of Occupational Safety has determined that 900 are unsafe and many have yet to be tested. More than 400 have been banned for use in skin care in Europe, but they still sit on our health food store shelves. One square inch of your skin has 3 feet of blood vessels and 72 feet of nerve fiber - you can plainly see the skin is incredibly well vascularized.
Many companies claim their products are "all natural" and of the "finest quality", however, a close look at the ingredients reveals toxic synthetic preservatives, 'suspected' carcinogens, drying alcohols, and perhaps synthetic fragrances and dyes. All are potential contributors to allergies, headaches, rashes, asthma, hormonal imbalances, cancer, reproductive complications and a myriad other physical and emotional concerns.
Now, take a look at our product line. It is based in enhanced Tensa Water, and uses only the highest quality natural ingredients. It can thereby defend the skin against free radicals and oxidative stress while also nourishing and restoring skin cells. Our Skin Care line is:

Love Your Layers
When you look at your reflection in the mirror, you're seeing only the top layer
of your skin, the epidermis. But deep beneath the surface, there's a complex system of layers hard at work.
Understanding how these layers work together is an important step in learning how to protect and nourish them.
The epidermis is the thin outer layer consisting of thinner and flatter older cells. Younger cells are constantly pushing up toward the surface to replace these cells. The condition of the epidermis determines how 'fresh' your skin looks and also how well your skin absorbs and holds moisture.
The dermis is the middle layer of skin tissues. It is the thickest layer, responsible for the skin's structural integrity, elasticity and resilience. It consists of a mesh of connective tissue (collagen and elastin protein fibers) which hold the blood vessels, muscles, nerve endings, hair follicles, fat cells, sweat and oil glands that lubricate the skin and hair. Collagen is responsible for structural support, and elastin gives the skin flexibility and resilience. The dermis also contains cells called fibroblasts, which synthesize the proteins and other structural molecules. Wrinkles begin to develop in the dermis.
Subcutaneous tissue, the innermost layer of the skin, consists mainly of fat, which acts as a shock absorber and heat insulator. The sebaceous glands and minute muscles that attach to hair follicles originate in subcutaneous tissue. As we grow older, the subcutaneous tissue becomes thinner, which accentuates wrinkles and contributes to the look of sagging skin.
For maximum benefits skin care products should be applied with clean hands using the tips of the fingers. The natural heat from your hands promotes quicker absorption of the enhanced water and nutrients. Follow these simple tips for best results:
* Wash with warm, not hot, water - Washing your skin with hot water accelerates aging effects.
* Handle with care - Save the bath scrubs for the rest of your body, and when drying your face, pat, don't rub with a towel.
* Defy gravity work up! Use short, firm strokes or pat in an upward motion when applying moisturizer, creams and makeup. Gravity is always pulling the skin to create sagging, wrinkles and lines, so give your face a little lift whenever possible.
* Give the eye area a little extra TLC The skin around the eyes is the most delicate part of your face, so lines and wrinkles show up there first. Be gentle; pat, don't rub when you apply and remove makeup around the eye area, and always use upward strokes. Professional makeup artists suggest using the ring or pinkie finger around that delicate area.
* The neck and décolletage The delicate skin on your face extends under the chin, down the neck and over the ears, so don't forget to include it in your daily skin care regimen. Cleansing, balancing and moisturizing these areas will also help reduce the signs of aging.
* Beauty rest. Your skin needs time to rest and replenish itself after multitasking all day, just like the rest of your body. Seven to nine hours of sleep gives it the time it needs to carry off toxins, replenish lost nutrients and restore the proper level of oxygen in the blood, which consequently, helps renew your body's cells.
